This project consisted of two separate jobs done by two separate General Contractors at the same time.
Coordination was the key to the success of the project. Our team worked hard to keep the two projects sequenced. Daily meetings and Project Management kept both on track.
|Limited material lay down space required sequenced deliveries and coordinated stocking of the floors with materials for the next day installation. Shared Utilities meant extensive coordination with NES and the Downtown Underground Power Distribution System. The facility has custom Lighting Fixtures, Lighting Controls Systems, Dimming Systems, Fire Alarm Systems and Sound Systems.
The Hotel, above the 3rd floor, is typical room construction. The upper 5 floors are Office Space. Bus Duct Systems provide power distribution up thru the building. The Closets stack and include closets for Data Com distribution.
The Convention Center features a 118,675-square-foot exhibit hall, an 11,000-square-foot ballroom, 40,000 square feet of lobby and terrace space, and 25 meeting rooms. The exhibit hall is divisible into three sections, each with separate entrances. Collectively, the hall can house 615 10' x 10' booths, a general session for 9,000 attendees, or a 6,000-person banquet. Twenty-seven-foot ceilings make it possible to accommodate oversized displays.

2008 Dimming Upgrade( Design / Build )
2008 we completed a Dimming and Lighting control System Replacement. We were the prime contractor for Metro as a Design/Build GMP Contractor. The project required extensive coordination and scheduling due to the rented spaces and time frames. The originally installed dimming equipment had become obsolete and parts were no longer available. We replaced the old equipment in five different locations while maintaining the existing system on line during the planned events.
