As a result of the May 2010 floods in Nashville, the KR Harrington Water Treatment facility site was heavily damaged by contaminated flood waters. The power distribution systems at the site were knocked off line and had to be cleaned, repaired and temporarily put back in service. This plant is one of only two facilities supplying Nashville with clean drinking water.
This project renovated and expanding the existing facilities to include a new Filter Building, new Finish Pumps and new Clarifier. The expansion required phased completion times to maintain the 24/7 operations of the plant. Expansion of the existing services. Motor control center upgrade. Expansion to the existing plant power distribution services. New parallel 900KW Generators for the emergency power distribution system upgrade.
