This design–build project replaced the conventional incineration method of solids handling where all the waste was hauled to a nearby landfill. The biosolids process converts the waste, producing a reusable fertilizer pellet. The customized biosolids facility has enhanced the quality of life for the community, providing a more environmentally friendly solution for solids disposal while operating more efficiently than conventional methods.
This design–build project provides steam for the FiberWeb manufacturing process. The power was provided from new Medium voltage switchgear sections that extended the existing 69kV Power House switchgear serving the entire plant. The service for the new facility was feed via overhead line installed in existing support structure. The new service feeds the Steam Generators, Cooling Towers and Pumps. A small office space and storage room completes the facility.
